The work that tends to need doing: research and verification of company records against public registers, editorial writing about financial products for people who are not in the industry, and engineering.

What this place is trying to be

A directory that is straight with people about money. In practice that means a lot of saying no: no bought rankings, no invented reviews, no statistics we cannot stand behind, no badge that implies more than we actually checked. If that sounds like a constraint rather than a principle, this is probably not the right fit.

Our editorial standards and neutrality policy are the clearest statement of how we work.
