Cookie policy

Which cookies this site sets, what each one does, and why there is no consent banner.

There is no cookie banner, and that is deliberate

This site sets no advertising cookies, no analytics cookies and no third-party tracking cookies. There is nothing to ask your consent for, so we do not interrupt you to ask for it.

What is actually set

Session cookie

Set when you use the site so that a signed-in session works and a form you submit is the one that gets processed. It holds an identifier, not your details. It expires when the session does.

CSRF token

A security cookie. It lets the site confirm a form submission came from a page we served and not from somewhere else. Without it, anyone could make your browser submit forms on your behalf.

Remember me

Set only if you tick “Remember me” when signing in, so that you are not asked again on every visit. Signing out clears it, and so does signing other devices out from your account settings.

How we count page views without a cookie

Company profiles show their owners how many times they were viewed. That count is kept without identifying you and without storing a cookie: a one-way fingerprint is derived from your network address and browser family combined with the current date, and it is used only to avoid counting the same visitor twice on the same day.

It rotates every day, so it cannot be used to follow anybody across days. Your network address is not stored. And if your browser sends Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control, nothing is recorded at all — not an anonymised count, nothing.

Third parties

Web fonts are served from a privacy-oriented font host that does not set cookies or log identifying data. Card payments, where a company buys placement, are handled entirely by the payment provider on their own pages — no card details ever reach this site, and no payment cookie is set here.

Changing your mind

The cookies above are the minimum needed for the site to work and for it to be secure, so there is no toggle for them. You can clear or block cookies in your browser; signing in will not work without the session cookie.

Our privacy policy covers everything else we hold and for how long.
