Suggest an update

How to tell us a company profile is wrong or out of date, and what happens when you do.

Most of this directory is built from public records and from what companies tell us, and both go out of date. If something is wrong, telling us is genuinely useful — you are not bothering anybody.

If it is your company

Claiming the listing is faster than reporting it, and it puts you in control of it permanently. Claim your business profile — it is free, and you verify the connection with a company email address, the published phone number, or a document a moderator reads.

If it is not your company

Email verify@financialservicescompanies.com with “Update” in the subject line and tell us:

  • a link to the company profile
  • which detail is wrong
  • what it should say
  • where that can be checked, if you have a link

That last one is the difference between a correction we can make today and one that sits in a queue. A regulator’s register entry, the company’s own website, or an official filing are all ideal.

What happens next

Someone checks it against a source. If it holds up, the profile is corrected and the change is recorded against the field so the profile can show where the value came from. If we cannot confirm it, we will tell you that rather than change the record on the strength of a message.

Regulatory details

If a register entry we link to does not say what we say it says, please tell us and include the link. That is the most serious kind of error on this site, because those records are the part readers are meant to be able to rely on, and we would rather hear about it than have it sit there.

Reviews are different

We do not edit or remove reviews on request. If you believe one breaks our rules, use Report a problem.
